How to factory reset a MikroTik router

Power off, hold the reset button while powering on, keep holding until USR / ACT LED starts flashing then release.
Hold duration
5 seconds
What gets reset
Removes all RouterOS configuration and reboots into the default quickset / hAP wizard. Default IP becomes 192.168.88.1 again.
Brand-specific notes
RouterOS v7+ no longer ships with a blank admin password — first login forces creation. v6 still uses blank password on factory devices.
